the about me stuff…
I’m Kit Brown and this is my blog. It began eons ago after Hurricane Dennis left a water leak causing me to fall and trash my knee. I started the blog and returned to guitar playing because I needed something to do other than hobble around on crutches.
My writing style is very casual and my reviews tend to consist of why I liked (or didn’t like) any given music or book and all the places you guys can go to listen to or read excerpts of the work I am reviewing. I really do believe nothing beats hearing the music for yourself and try to provide links that allow that.
My home is in Alabama – but presently I live in North Carolina with my husband and two daughters, referred to as Kahuna, the ‘Bit and Scooter in my blog posts.
If you are a musician or author and would like me to review your work on the blog, drop me a line at guitarkit@gmail.com . I would prefer something I can download and listen to or read from a pdf file but if you have a different format we’ll work something out.
- Kit

Now that Scooter is back sleeping nights I proclaim this ’dig myself out from under the mountain of un-reviewed music‘ week. Kicking off the week o’reviewing is Arc & Stones, the debut EP from Brooklyn band Arc & Stones. The guys are Dan Pellarin (vocals), Ben Cramer (guitar), Joe Doino (drums) and Eddy Bayes (bass). I had [...]
So, I was in the mood for some blues and whoosh – blues appeared. Other people get coupons, bills and news updates in the mail while I get blues music. Cool new blues music in the form of the debut release Telegraph Taboo from the Chicago-based band Nick and the Ovorols. This is not a pretty album. The vocals on a few tracks [...]
