The list seems a little short but I spent most of the week a bit sleep-deprived and didn’t read as many blogs as usual. If you want me to add your post to the list just send me an email, bug me over on Twitter @kitbrown_wmb or leave your addy in the comments section.

That interview with Raitt is much better than the one that was published in the Atlantic. Well, at least it’s better titled. The title of the Atlantic piece is “Bonnie Raitt’s Amazing, Omniverous, Adult-Contemporary Career”. It includes the line, “The racial politics of pop music have always been fraught, but there’s hardly a stronger argument for the essentially omnivorous nature of adult contemporary than this.”
What? “Omniverous”? It left me with an image of Raitt chomping on CDs like a slice of pizza. Bad choice of words, methinks. I’m not sure what he was reaching for, but there has to be a better word.
Okay, I have read that over several times and I am kind of lost as to where it was supposed to be going. Maybe the reviewer has one of those ‘word a day’ calendars? I am also puzzled as to when Raitt became ‘pop’ but that is kind of secondary to the whole omniverous thing.
Sigh – now I want pizza.
