Feel my thorns, Darkspawn!
After much hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth (okay, maybe there was no hand-wringing…how do you wring your hands?) I have resolved my November 11, 2011 dilemma. I will listen to the Coronas’ new album -AS- I play Skyrim.
If it wasn’t so old I would write an epic review of Dragon Age: Origins. Well, that and I am supposed to be playtesting and reviewing something else right now and…let’s just move along.
And no, the rumors that I have been obsessively playing DA:O for days now are greatly exaggerated. I also did laundry and sorted my beading tacklebox.
Seriously, once in a while I just need a few days away from tech and the internet to decompress. This time the baby came down with a cold right after I took a few days off and until she was better even following Twitter was problematic.
The joy I experience when drinking coffee out of a cup that says ‘Name Your Poison’ cannot adequately be expressed in mere words.
I gave up on the diamond/military pushups and compromised on something between those and the wide spread ones I had been doing. I don’t know if I need more muscle or if it is the old injury but no matter how careful I am the diamond ones kill my shoulder. As long as I stop on the last set when I start to feel the burn in my shoulder I can avoid the awful pain I had previously.

Okay, I give up. Apparently I need to go save the world. Or something… Here’s Vivs’ new song – Taxi Man.

I have been trying to write the review for Blurred, by San Francisco singer/songwriter Alex Wise for a few months now but can’t seem to finish it. This is difficult for me to say but I get about halfway through the process and find myself so homesick I just can’t continue. The past few years have been full [...]
Now that Scooter is back sleeping nights I proclaim this ’dig myself out from under the mountain of un-reviewed music‘ week. Kicking off the week o’reviewing is Arc & Stones, the debut EP from Brooklyn band Arc & Stones. The guys are Dan Pellarin (vocals), Ben Cramer (guitar), Joe Doino (drums) and Eddy Bayes (bass). I had [...]
So, I was in the mood for some blues and whoosh – blues appeared. Other people get coupons, bills and news updates in the mail while I get blues music. Cool new blues music in the form of the debut release Telegraph Taboo from the Chicago-based band Nick and the Ovorols. This is not a pretty album. The vocals on a few tracks [...]
