Most music bloggers have a stack, either physical or digital, of albums they want/plan/need to review. While that certainly holds true for me as well, my reviewing Waterloo is music videos. I watch them, bookmark them, save them and always tell myself, “hey, I’ll pop this up in the featured section or do an awesome vid of day with it” and then it goes to the metaphorical bottom of the pile and never makes it up on the blog page.
So I am going to try something a little different. Every week or two I’ll do a ‘clean out the vid bin’ post and just toss them all on the page. Let’s see how this goes.
The Baron Sisters (Kimmie and Kelsie) are singer/songwriters from Florida. I love the harmonies and the slightly quirky lyrics of their songs. This is their newest video, released yesterday July 10, 2012. If you like their sound you can pop over to their website and download the song for free.

I am not sure where this next vid came from but I love the retro styling. George A Santino gives his rendition of Come Fly With Me. (written by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn and originally performed by Frank Sinatra)

Somehow I nearly missed the release of the new Aerosmith video. I didn’t see much press on it and found it while tracking down another piece of music. Legendary Child is an older song, written in ’91 but never released. This version was reworked for the movie G.I. Joe – Retaliation. I don’t watch Idol so I missed the release of the song. The original video for the song had the band live, mixed with clips from the movie but when the movie release was pushed back to 2013 they couldn’t use the clips. This version has actress Alexa Vega on roller skates. Yes, roller skates. Just watch.
I have been trying to write the review for Blurred, by San Francisco singer/songwriter Alex Wise for a few months now but can’t seem to finish it. This is difficult for me to say but I get about halfway through the process and find myself so homesick I just can’t continue. The past few years have been full [...]
Now that Scooter is back sleeping nights I proclaim this ’dig myself out from under the mountain of un-reviewed music‘ week. Kicking off the week o’reviewing is Arc & Stones, the debut EP from Brooklyn band Arc & Stones. The guys are Dan Pellarin (vocals), Ben Cramer (guitar), Joe Doino (drums) and Eddy Bayes (bass). I had [...]
So, I was in the mood for some blues and whoosh – blues appeared. Other people get coupons, bills and news updates in the mail while I get blues music. Cool new blues music in the form of the debut release Telegraph Taboo from the Chicago-based band Nick and the Ovorols. This is not a pretty album. The vocals on a few tracks [...]
